there are some problems hondas have over time....

but this is the list of things likely to go out, pretty much in the order shown:

- a/c
- radiator/coolent system
- head gasket

thats about it, unless its not maintained/driven properly.

Check fluid levels and whatnot, make sure she's been changing that oil at the right times, things of the sort.

just take it to a certified honda mechanic (doesn't have to be a dealership) and have them check it out. $6k sounds reasonable.
