98Coupe- Manually turning the headlights to on, turns all the lights on, including the brake lights obviously.....and so if you want true DRL's... you only want the front high beams with low power.

I know my moms 2001 Camry with DRL's.... they operate to ON a few secs after the emergency brake is released, and stay on until either the Headlight switch is manually turned to ON, or the light sensor senses dark, which auto turns the headlights on. Gotta love auto on/off lights.

I know u know how DRL's operate, but im just stating turning the headlights to ON, does not do quite the same thing.
