I bet you the same is true about NA MR2s and turboed MR2s. I've met one person in the 6 years I've been autocrossing who had a turboed MR2 and he hated it. Why? Cause the car is heavier and slower than the NA MR2 on an autocross course (note I said AUTOCROSS). Turbos are great for drag racing or open tracks but for autocross the turbo comes in at the wrong inopertune times.
