No, he knows how it works.

There's no cryogenic chamber, the square thing is just a a pipe with liquid CO2 running through it. The concept is that the pipe is cold so when the intake air which is in a relatively enclosed space passes over it, it gets refrigerated somewhat. He's saying that it still doesn't create this "cryogenic chamber" that you're talking about.

The intercooler sprayer would work but it doesn't strike me as any better or worse than a NO2 intercooler sprayer. Either way you have to cart around a bottle full of volatile chemicals in your trunk which is only legal for drag racing.
