I've had situations like that a couple of time, I usually like to get up to a good speed to get me accross the puddle, or lake, then shift the car into neutral and shut it off. * this wont work over long distances. Once I went through a puddle that was about 25ft long and about 3ft deep in the middle when I had my mustang and It had a cai. I Hit the puddle about 65, and hydroplaned across it. That was the coolest thing I've ever done in a car. I felt like Jesus walking on water.
