i was also wearing shorts today and i can feel the hot air coming through the vents for the feet. also i had the ac on all day and when i took a turn hard, some water or maybe coolant? spilled from somewhere underneath the center conlsole. this is so weird and scary. any reason to why liquid spilt on my foot?
was the liquid really hot? if so, it was probably from your heater core. if not, there might have been condensation on the evaporator that leaked out of the HVAC housing.
and i would recommend not wrapping your cat with that asbestos wrap stuff. it might not be able to dissapate enough heat and could melt the catalysts. but you could wrap the heat shield and re-install that.
