We checked the Lude out at carfax and there was no previous damage. He just needed to get rid of the lude to buy a truck so it worked out well. Thanks again for your help!
With exhausts on the 5th Gen no one is going to be that much better then another. A straight through is going to net maybe 5hp at the sacrifice of noise. A quiet exhaust like the Apex WS is going to net 2-3 hp tops (guessing of course) but be much quieter.
Some nice straight throughs are Apex N1, Skunk2 (not sure if it's out yes), Tanabe RM, and Greddy's. The middles would be Mugen and Thermal , both being full stainless and a little quieter. Then there's the Tanabe G Power and Apex WS which are less noisey then the above.
