I kinda have the same problem as well. Theres a flimsy looking heat shield over the Cat. I was planning to wrap that instead of the Cat it self. Didn’t do it yet, I bought a few rolls of thermotec adhesive backed heat barrier. I figure b/c of the shape of the heat shield it would deflect the heat better.
