The thing I like most about Bush is that he puts the interests of the American people first. Had he signed onto the Kyoto Accord there would be so many restrictions put onto American businesses that they would not be able to make a profit. So much of their money would be going to cleaning up and reducing their emissions that they would either be better off going bankrupt or closing facilities which would eliminate jobs. Bush recognizes that fact and that is why he does not support the Kyoto Accord.

His tax cut package is squarely aimed at giving the people back more of their money...which for most Americans is very hard earned...and he wants to help busineses by lowering their tax burden so that they will have more money for inovation and the creation of job opportunities. Not to mention getting rid of the dividend tax allows investors...both big and small...an incentive to invest again helping the economy and companies to grow and creat jobs.

He also went against the wishes of the UN, the Pope, and cetain allies to ensure that the American people were safe. In his eyes, and many of the eyes of the American people, it is his job to keep us safe at all costs...and he did just that. It really takes a strong, smart man to stand up and say that the reasons for going to war with Iraq was in the best interests of the American people and that he would go at it alone or with a coalition of the willing...because that was the best thing to do for the American people.
