The back part is connected to the bottom of the part you sit on. Its connected with a metal plate and two screws but they tore up the wood they're bolted too :wtc:

Im gonna DIY and fix it with a small sheet of 1.5in thick wood :chuckles:...re-drill it and everything

*edit* screw it...I should be able to use a few measured out thin sheets of metal
