I did, however, get accepted to WSU (Washington State University) under the same qualifications... but only because I'm 1/4 Native American...
Affirmative action has made it unethical and almost illegal for scholarships to cater to a non-minority group, but makes it ok to have things (for examples only) like the black college fund, filipino-american ass'n scholarships, etc. You will not find a scholarship competition that limits it's qualified applicants as hetero-sexual caucasian males.
Affirmative action is also the reason why there are more women in college nationally than men... because women are considered a social minority, and therefore are granted special priviledge for scholarship funds, contests, etc...
I am not agains affirmative action in it's intent, however I am very against the way it has been implemented...
as an american and the freedoms you do endure.. you should gladly give up the spot to someone else when the quota is filled for your race.. be glad that we are diversifying the front lines of our future... i am very happy that women are filling up our colleges, women are smart and you'd be dumb not help them into important spots that will better life for everyone...
