My shift knob attaches to the shift lever far below the threads w/ setscrews, where the lever itself is much thicker. Here's a pic, the lever itself is exactly the same height as stock, but my shift knob sits about 2" lower than stock. Throw length is shorter than a stock Miata 6-speed shifter. :thumbup:
