Flat black works just fine if you do it properly...
2 coats primer (sand between)
5 coats flat-black paint (THIN coats, let dry between each)
2 coats clear (seals the paint nice & tight...)
it works on bumpers too... 
OR, 5 minutes sanding, 2 minutes painting with flat black paint.
