i didn't think the adaptation was too hard. but i can see how it could be a PITA for some people. there used to be a how-to somewhere..

but, if the e2427 had existed when i did my ru2820, i probably wouldn't have bothered with the modification.

i would expect both filters to perform pretty much the same.
