I read in a magazine about a place that does extensive engine work. It was a well known reputable company, but I forgot the name.

The said you can get like 180hp...or was it more...out of a D16Z6 without doing any sort of nitrous or forced induction. For race applications, they bored it out to 2.0l, but for street 1.8l was max. They did a lot of work to this engine to be able to produce and handle this kind of power. It was in an issue of SCC a looooong time ago.

There's nothing wrong with building up a SOHC. Not everyone wants to swap.
