take a flathead screwdriver and just pop the middle part of the clips out, if you cut them off you won't get it back on, there might be 2 screws on the bottom of the grille holding it to your bumper also.

96greencivic - i tried a few different methods for the bottom grille but the gutter guard was the right length but not enough height to my liking(and also didn't want the edges of the grille to scratch my paint up) so i went to Grille-Tech.com and bought the lower grille piece, when i get home today i'll take some pics and post them up. If you decide you like the Grille-Tech.com grille i suggest going on ebay and buying it, much cheaper than if you order it directly from them and also difference is order from the site it could take 1-3 weeks, i recieved mine(i got it on ebay!) in like 4 days.
