Right you are. Some of the earlier Jun/Spoon flywheels teeth were designed differently than most of the bseries starters. I believe the JDM B16 starter was the only one that matched teeth.

The aluminum used in these flywheels is extremely strong. Warping/shattering really isnt a reality when using a well engineered aluminum flywheel. Its true, Chromoly steel is physically a stronger metal, but usually is heavier than an aluminum flywheel, and much pricier. Lighter is better, and why spend extra $ on something that you dont need? Dont get me wrong, a lot of guys like their Chromoly FW's, and the Toda is very nice, I just dont see the need for it.
