and i do video work on the comp, so firewire works best for me with its 4channels. i have 6 USB 2.0 ports and i only use one for a stupid mouse and the other for the camera. the rest just sit there empty and lonely h:

oh, and the Firewire2 at 800mb/s.... i wanna see one run at that h: i dont even know anything that is compatible with that? but yeah only the new power mac g4 towers come with 2 of those.
well that's true of all I/O standards and devices.


Yeah I use USB2.0 video capture device with my analog VCR and stuff, but 1394 when capturing from Tonys digital Camcorder. It's easier that way.

I'm not sure if anything except other Apples are compatible with 1394b. :dunno: but I suppose you could connect two macs together and copy things really fast across them :chuckles:
