Replace just the alternator belt then. A whole hell of a lot easier with the engine out. I think the 4-wire is the only real difference on the VX's. You'll also VTEC wires, but those can just be ignored.
You'll need an OBD I ECU. The LS ECU is probably the one you want, but I've read people have tried using the DX ECU and it works too, runs a little leaner but not enough to risk detonation. You'll also need an OBD I distrubtor and injectors. I don't think your stockers will work. Seeya.
