Well, that's what people used to think about the Supra's and running high levels of boost on stock internals. The D16 is very capable of handling un-thought-of boost levels, like up to 16psi on the stock internals. I would definitely get a thicker head gasket, but I know people who run this level of boost and survive just with the head gasket.
