I know Toyota is far superior to Buick in quality, but the point that they make mushy handling and bland looking cars has been discussed in HAN many times. The Camry is almost an exact copy in terms of vehicle dynamics as a Buick LeSabre. The Solara is a very good basis for a sports/touring coupe. A stiffer suspension and real manual transmission would make it a viable option to the Accord 6x6. But they choose to appeal to the softer side of life.
Bland styling is all subjective....... The camry is not as soft etc.. as a Buick LeSabre.
