Depends on what kind of engine you have in there now. There are 3 models of 4th gen. S, Si and VTEC.

The S has a F22. Low end.
The Si has a H23. Mid range
The VTECH has a H22. High End.

So if you are tossing in a h22 into one that has a f22 now, you'll see big improvements. If it's going into one that is an Si (h23) you'll see a bit of more power but not a ton.

The VTEC model is the exact same engine. h22. So unless there is something drastically wrong with the current h22, you will see no diffrence.

The h22 is an excellent engine. Some will argue that it is one of the best ones honda has ever made, if not THE best. But that's a huge debate. I'm not a gear head so I don't know much about other engines... but I know the h22 has lots of upgrades and has lots of potential. About as much potential as I know of for a 4 cylinder engine.

Supposedly, the fastest inline 4cyl engine car is a highly modified, turbo h22. I'd say that's good potential.

Ive heard that the b-series engines have more potential the h22's though, but i stillwant an h22
