I'll definitely be waxing it up real nice when I take them off and I'll look into this automagic stuff. Hopefully its easy to put it back on if it looks bad when i take it off. Any suggestions as to how to go about doing this? I say a DIY on this but i can't remember where it is.
If that's the case, shouldn't be too much fading of the paint so you probably won't be able to tell. The auto magic is great, I used it when taking off the pinstripe on my g/f 6th gen, made the job so easy. To take it off, very easy. Just let it sit in the sun for about 20-30 minutes, then start peeling it off. After it's off, get a rag and saturate it with some Auto Magic, then rub in a tight circular motion over the adhesive left behind, be generous with it. After the adhesive is off, get a fresh rag and go over it again to dry it up. After that's all done, you can clay the car, if necessary, if not, just polish and wax it. Need a recommendation on a wax? Zymol is sweet. Can't go wrong with Meguiars Mirror Glaze. My personal favorite is Zymol though.
