MSRP for 2000 Prelude base: $23,950
SportShift: $24,950

I don't remember exactly what the Type SH was, but something around $26,500 rings a bell. That ATTS is some expensive stuff for what you get in return. I did testdrive one, and could not tell a big difference between the two. So I got my base with the spoiler, fogs, floor mats, and tax out the door was still less than the MSRP for the SS. Prelude 99, I can understand your last post. So did many other people, which is the biggest reason for the Prelude's demise. But what people did not see was other cars in the price range either didn't have the perfomance, or quality, or reliability, or all of the above. They saw a Camaro Z28 six speed with gobs of V8 torque and muscle with leather and T-tops for the same price........ untill the clutch blows at 50,000 miles, head gaskets at 80,000, the roof starts to leak, interior trim starts to shake and fall appart, and you've put all this in to the car before the Prelude even needs the timming belt changed. At which point the Prelude is just starting to get broken in. Oh, well. Different strokes for different folks. I'll still be driving my Lude when the Camaro is in the bone yard.
