i have also go it ported and polished, when i got that done i lost quite a bit of low end, everyone would take me of the line (but of course i'd catch up ) I have a stage one ACT also.
So i really don't have to worry bout ignition upgrades since i'm not revving that high anyways?
sounds like you might have gone too far with the head - when ur port velocity goes down from removing too much meat from the runners you will lose the bottom end. I usually don't recommend more than radiusing the bottom floor of the ports and cleaning up the burrs in the runners on honda heads - they flow pretty darn good right out of the box. A set of cams would for sure wake up your motor - probably even the bottom end as well!
