I disagree. You're gonna get a VERY noticable power gain if you go from the stock 9.2:1 ratio up to 11:1. Compression is what physically makes the power in your engine. When you go up that much higher, and also increase the displacement with a longer stroke, you're definitely gonna feel it.
i agree with your disagreement, but to a point.
stock cams feeding a larger displacement than stock will not make as much power as if he had cams designed with enough lift to feed the larger displacement setup.
but he will get an increase in power from displacement and increased compression... just not as much as if he had cams mad for the application.
he could conceivably be losing as much as 20hp, while gaining 40hp from this, but impossible to pinpoint as i dont have cam specs. but in the end, he could be gaining as much as 60hp if he had the right cams.
