is the amp mounted right? are the heatsinks mounted so that they dispruse(sp) the hot air from the amp?
will, thas a good idea, didnt really think about that. Its a really big box and the amp is mounted on the back seat. the cargo space is quite small as well. its a 95 vw golf. the box fits but the space is somewhat tight. im gonna try folding the seat back, maybe more ventilation will occur

Haven't seen this asked yet, but where do you have the gain set at? I know that sounds so stupid, but I've worked in install bays before and that tends to be one of the most common reasons for this...just turn it down a notch, usually does the trick.
cheese this is also a good idea because the gain is set at full? culd this be one of the reasons. by decreasing the gain, does it decrease the sound drastically?
