Let's say there are two worlds. Earth and Myrth. Earth has a low atmospheric pressure; Myrth a high one. Earthlings would be taller, but live shorter lives, but not drastically shorter lives. Myrthlings would be shorter, but live longer lives.

actually, we aren't living shorter, we're living longer. Average age of cro-magnon:35. It was like that up until the past two centuries. All the physical labor killed them off
