I will try my best to answer your questions:

Q. Which type of header do you own, ceramic or ss?

A. I have the DC Sports 4-2-1 Two Piece Stainless Steel Header

Q. How long have you had the header for?

A. I've had mine since July 2002 (I've managed to put 18,000 miles on the car since installing the header, my odometer reads 20,700 now!)

Q. How is the discoloration of the header as time passes?

A. It changes from silver to gold with a little purple in it. (I clean my header with Wenol it's an Ultra soft metal polish for stainless steel. I also use it to polish my Greddy EVO Exhaust, make sure to buy the blue box version) I clean my engine and header every three months, which you can see a photo of below.

Q. With the header, how hot does the engine bay get? How hot does the hood become with the header?

A. It doesn't really get that hot, I haven't noticed the engine bay or hood any hotter then when I had the stock manifold on.

Q. Is the gain significantly noticeable?

A. I did notice a decent gain in the top end after adding it, but not a balls to the wall gain. It was the last piece of the puzzle. (I did my AEM CAI first, then two weeks later I did the Greddy EVO Cat-Back, then the following week I put my DC Sports SS header on.

Q. Does the header increase noise level? if so, by how much?

A. It's hard to tell if it increased the noise level because of the screaming sound from the AEM CAI, but I did have someone else drive my car after installing the header and the exhaust did sound a little deeper.

Q. What are the advantages and the disadvantages of having a header?

A.

Advantages:

1) Looks baddass under the hood.
2) Does add some power to the top end.
3) Can't think of anymore reasons to get it, so just get it.

Disadvantages:

1) The downpipe that connects to the catalytic converter can sometime scrape, depending on how low you're dropped.

2) I've known people who have bought the ceramic ones and they tend to rust after 6 months and are much easier to crack from underneath when you scrape or hit something.

FINAL Word.....

Get the DC Sports SS Header, I highly recommend it!
