I agree with the LS/VTEC comments. While it can be a very prosperous setup, it seems that getting them to run right for a long period of time is a lot of work.
From what Ive seen, people make great power with stock B18C1's, to the point where an LS/VTEC is almost worthless unless youve already got an LS and cant afford to build it or can get a smokin deal on a VTEC head.
