okay so heres the story
i have a b16a in a 92dx hatch weight 2000 running stock dx exhaust and stock 13 inch steelies. i spent around 3000 for motor installed
my roommate has a b18b in a 93 cx hatch weight 1850 running 3inch crush bent exhaust and 16 in rotas with very good dunlops. he spent around 3000 for motor installed
then my buddy has a 95 ex coupe with a fully built ls turbo running 2.5 inch exhaust and 14 in steelies and bald ass tires and running 7pi he spent around 7000 for motor installed and still isnt 100% on all compontents needed to bump up the boost to 14psi like the motor was designed to hold
here are there times
b16a hatch 15.5 @ 88.8
b18b hatch 15.2 @ 90.3
b18b turbo 13.5 @ 106.4
*note* real shitty track it was once an old airstrip so it goes a little uphill.
as for the comment on the low end power yeah every race between the b16 and the b18 hatches it seemed like the b18 had the b16 by a car and 1/2 off of the line every time. but it makes for sweet races to watch the b16 reel the b18 in. so as you can see it is relitivly close races between the b18 and b16
oh and the turbo'd b18 yeah its fun to watch him destroy vetts. and thats only on 7psi he is bumping it up to 11psi next weekend cause his first boost controller broke and now he has a new one along with slicks now so we are hopin for 12's
and another thing there was a ls/vtec turbo crx with slicks out there running 12.45 was the best i saw my buddy said he hit a 11.9
