I'm considering a B18b for my hatch as well for these 4 reasons - more displacement, more torque, lower compression, lower cost. And yes, you can run a turbo on it reliably - more so than on a B16a with stock compression. I'm sure you're gonna get a lot of opinions on this one, but dollar for dollar you can't beat the LS swap in your hatch. :thumbup:
A B16A N/A will spank a B18B N/A... Turbo is a different story however...
