Since I spend a lot of time high speed driving, I'm kinda partial to the longer gearing of the LS...but then again I drive one. Insurance tends to be cheaper on the non-VTEC models as well...
And while the suspension on all DC Integs are very precise, the RS / LS have smaller anti-rollbars and other susp changes; the ride is a bit underdamped as opposed to the GS /GS-R (and definitely the Type R).
Oh... and the Special Edition was basically a loaded LS (I believe) with leather.
