You'll like the Tundra's ride better, but overall I think the Tacoma is a better truck if you don't need V-8 towing power. Plus you can get a 5-speed manual for the V-6 in the Tacoma (although admittedly you can in the Tundra too for the V-6, but it's slow.)
Have you test drove these two vehicles? It sounds like you know what your talking about. I don't really need the v8 power but it's fun just having it. If I do get a Toyota Tundra v8 I will be taking that baby off road, even if I do get a toyota tacoma I'll still be doing the same. I'm looking forward to test driving both vehicles.
