I hated my stock Michelin MXV4's (205/60VR16) They lasted for about 22k and i was involved in a hydroplaning accident with these "all-season" tires.
I got some Yokohama A520's (225/55VR16). They lasted for like another 10-12k mi. Got them for like $74/each.
I currently have my Nankang Sport NS-II's (225/40HR18). They look great and handle wonderfully...maybe because they're low-profile. They're not V-rated though. I get them for $75/each.
