? on power and v-afc
hello. anyways, i was wondering if this sounds right. my friend and i dynoed my '00 gsr and the max power to the wheel was around 144. here's the mods it has:
injen short ram
dc 4-1
5zigen full cat back
msd 6al
70mm erick's racing throttle body
aem sprockets
apex'i v-afc
when we dynoed the car then. it was a stock clutch and was wearing out already. so probably some power were loss to the wheel already. but does 140~145 look right for the amount of mods i have?
one more thing. does anyone have any experience with that apex v-afc? the dyno between 'w/ the v-afc' and 'w/o the v-afc' is that the powerband in the 'w/ the v-afc' is rigid, is not smooth at all. and power drops alot before vtec kicks in. we dynoed again running on stock ecu and is even more efficient than running with v-afc. efficient meaning the power doesn't dip before v-tec engages and the powerband is alot smoother. and how do you fix the dip in power before vtec engages using the v-afc? are you suppose to make it rich or lean it out? fuel map, hi and lo cam-side, throttle position, vtec engagement point, etc.?
any tips and suggestion is greatly appreciated. thanks alot.
