People were calling Kobe the next MJ before Shaq got to LA. They only brought Shaq to compliment Kobe. Shaq really doesnt have anything to do with what Kobe does. Kobe dunks and shoots. Shaq gets rebounds and dunks on people. They do different things that compliment the team
Uh, dood, it's Shaq's team, no question about it. As Shaq goes, so goes the team. Without Shaq, they are just an average team. Without Kobe, they still have the most dominant big man in the league and they still have the athlete's who can feed him the ball.
And we all know, no matter how many bodies you throw at Shaq, he's gonna get his.

that really cant be proven. I'm not saying Kobe is alone on that team. Nobody can win with only one guy doing the work. But I think Kobe equals if not outshines Iverson
Come on bro, when Shaq goes out, the Lakers struggle big time, when Kobe was gone, they didn't miss a beat. It's been proven time and time again. But true, no one man can do it by himself, there's got to be 4 other dudes on the court w/him. I will give Kobe his props, he is a very talented player and if I was putting together a team, he'd be the 3rd player I chose, right after Iverson and Shaq.
On a side note, Iverson scored 29 tonight to lead the Sixers to another victory over the Hornets, they now lead the series 2-0
