My brother has a full size and I know they are amazing guns. While I was looking at it, the salesman showed me a Kimber Ultra Carry II. It was a .45 cal...bigger caliber than I was looking at, but it was a very nice sized gun. I've heard a little bit about Kimbers, but not enough that I would buy one. Any of you guys heard of them/owned them/fired them? What do you think about them? What have you heard?
one of the guys i work with has a kimber 1911 .45(i forget which model) as well as the H&K USP.
i've fired it, along with the USP, and i have to say that i like the kimber a lot more. it felt like the action on the kimber is a lot smoother and my shot group with the kimber was a lot tighter than with the USP. most of the gum magazines have rated kimber .45's as the best bang for the buck out there. i, personally, would definately go with the kimber.
