Sup everyone, recently I bought an Act stage 2 clutch and 12 lb flywheel, for my 94' integra Ls. The problem ive noticed since then, is that when the clutch engages, there is a squeeky rubbery sounding noice. Ive asked all the mechanics in the area what this sound could be, and everyone gives me different answers... heres some of there possible causes for my squeeky noise.
*Throwout bearing
*Faulty clutch disc
*Cv joints/boots or axle
*motor mounts
K... so ive already changed the motor mounts, and I truly dont believe its anything with the clutch.
The sound is a squeeky sound on made when the clutch is engaged and under stress. If i take off in 2nd gear, the noise is loud and drawn out. Also it doesn't make the noise when the engine is cold.
The reason i dont believe it has to do with my clutch, is that sometimes the noise comes from the left side of the car, and other times it comes from the right side. So i believe it has to do with the axles... Ive checked the cv boots and they are not torn or leaking.
I am assuming that when i got the new clutch, the harsher engagement must have worn out something in my axles. I dont know much about axles, so i dont know how to check to see if this is the problem. If the axles are the problem, would i need to replace them with better ones so this doesn't happen again? Please help me if you have any ideas as to what this problem might be, cause none of the mechanics in my area seem to know.
