Well my best educated guess is that since the baby was due. And her body was badly decomposed. The baby came out due to fish and whatever ate most of the her body.

Wasn't his alibi that he went fishing with his friends? She was probably with him and his friends then she fell over or was pushed over. Then they took off. Now if he his alibi was that he was in a different state or different country then he wouldn't be consider a suspect.

I'm pretty sure he was arrested cause his alibi was he was fishing. And her body washed ashore. Now if her body was found dumped off the cliff of a mountain his alibi would of been more believable.
