it's not really that the spurs arn't much without duncan. Just take a team and remove their star player (let alone arguably the best current player and likley the seasons MVP canidate) and see how they do.
But Finley was doing better without the presure. The spurs defense was spread out elsewhere. Besides, that game was different. The spurs are trying some new stuff out to try and trump the Suns.
We'll see what happens tomorrow night.
