i got a ticket for "speed contest" couple months back. i was trying to pass a mustang 5.0 before the lanes merged and he was trying to box me out. cop pulled us both over for racing. he wrote on my ticket that i was goin 50 in a 40. the cop knows its bullshit cause if he really thought we were racing, i woulda gotten arrested and car impounded also. blah. still gotta go to court and deal with it.
