ok, to answer all questions:

yes, the cam timing is exactly where it should be. I did the timing belt myself, and used a timing light to verify that the timing was accurate.

valve lash is done also by me, every 10k miles or so, sometimes more often as I hear it starting to tick.

YES, I'm quite sure it's probably running rich and/or lean in places, the injectors are ancient (282k miles on em), the throttle body is filthy (needs a cleaning), and each of the 4 spark plugs looks different. So, that's probably a big part of it.

Anyone have a rough cost of dyno time? I know everyone talks about it, but it never occurred to me to test my bone stock lil CRX.
