Cool great advice guys. The sound seems to be getting worse and it is a repetative thumping sound that increases with speed. And just noticed that it doesn't go away now when i put it in neutral or step on the clutch. The sound is the same at diffrent shift points but at the same speed. you guys are right, must be an axle or inner CV boot problem. Took it to a garage today and they had no idea what the problem was. So i guess i'll have to take it to the dealer which is $$..
Now looking back at it when i installed the TEins the damage could have taken place when i had my friend step down on the control arm to get the bolts to line up with the shocks.
How expensive is the inner CV joint? ANd is it dangerous to drive w/ a busted cv joint. The handeling really hasn't decreased and seems to drive fine for now. So much for saving money on the install.
Thanks for the input guys
