True day light and HID's are 4100+ K or Kelvin. I have some sylvania cool blues in my wife's car that are 3500 and are a real nice and clear white with a very light tint of blue. I bought 2 sets of the 9005's for my 4th gen and they are really bright a deeper color of blue at 4000. The higher the number the closer you get to the UV spectrum and in to the blues and purples you see on the acuras. Your light blues are probably around 3800. Can you put up a pic of them up close? Actually true day light is more like 5000K.
I've compared the Cool Blue and the Silverstar on the same car and the Silverstar is a whiter light and less blue then the Cool Blue. However the glass on the Silverstar is bluer then the Cool Blue.
