the trim piece isnt that expensive to replace. i'd rather replace the trim piece than shell out $600 for another headunit (my deductable is $500). if you just use the din sleeve to install the radio, its takes 1 sec to remove it. all the shops i trust install a strap on the back of the radio. most radios have a provision on the back to screw on a metal strap. you screw the other end of it to the metal support behind the dash (or the stock radio mounting screw hole, thats how i did it)
