I hear this stuff over and over again as to all the BS and comparison of hondas vers. 5.0s.... Well I'm an owner of both, and I have to say that these cars are two totally different animals! Yeah, my 93 si handles great and looks really cool, but it won't hit 155 like my 86 GT (and yeah, it still has the restrictive stock heads on a 100k mile motor) With a ton of Polyurethane and suspension mods under the 5.0, it handles much better than stock, but about as good as the 93 si with tokicos and springs. The big difference is that REAR WHEEL DRIVE is so much more fun and predictable. I enjoy driving both my cars, and I understand the reasoning behind people that defend both cars. This whole Import vs. Domestic thing is a bunch of BS if you ask me. It's kinda like Ford people bashing Chevys, and vice versa. Dare I say it again, there is no substitution for cubes, and that's why you can make a V8 much faster and quicker for the same money and you can make it a daily driver at the same time.... but no american V8 car is gonna top the 93 si's 35 MPG, not to mention that it's pretty quick for the fact that it's an ECONOMY CAR! As far as reliability goes, both the 302 Ford and the D16Z6 Honda are VERY reliable engines. Just everyone enjoy the fact that we live in a country where we can max out our credit cards buying crap to make our imports and domestics faster and more fun and not worry about where our next meal comes from or where we will sleep that night.
