Gasing it alot does effect your gas mileage. From my experiences, I think that the fuel guage is not perfect, and that one cannot predict how many miles they will get out of a specific tank from how many miles they have gotten out of 1/4 a tank. EX: If you used 1/4 of your tank so far and you have gone 60 miles, its not accurate at all to say that you will get 240 miles out of that tank. What I'm saying is that you cannot proportionalize or use ratios to find out how many more miles you will get out of a tank after already driving on it. THAT is how MY guage is anyway.
