As for being alone, i took a trip to the outer banks where i was alone for 3 days. Myself, and the surf. I would wake up, eat some food, then into the surf until the sun fell. I would sleep at 930 and wake up at dawn. Completely content with everything.
Do that for years and then you'll find the effects to be rather hallucinating.
