Yeah the only way to get a correct beam pattern and produce a nice even light with no hot spots is to use a light fixture that's optics where designed with HID's in mind.
That's why 93AccordEX went with the A6 projector. I probably would go with the S2K's projectors if I could afford it.
Currently I just have the OSRAM H4 kit which is ok, It is HID but it in no way resembles an OEM's HID's. I have it aligned very well and I don't blind traffic plus it has that obvious HID look but as the driver I would prefer better optics. It just lights up the road so much better (evenly).
When I park my Accord next to my 99 RL with OEM HID's and shine the light down the road it's actually shamefull. It's so obvious how much different the optics are.
After my engine swap and paint work is done (june/july) I'll retro fit my one-pieces with either A6 or S2K projectors. I just can't afford to spend the money on them now but they are well worth it.
Remember HID's is a whole different technology, Halogen reflectors can't focus the light to it's full potential. It will deffinately be brighter with out a doubt but it's won't be evenly distributed and have that nice cut off that OEM's are known for.
